Ascent Hospitality is seeking an experienced Maintenance worker to join the Engineering Team at our full-service Marriott hotel in Mobile, AL
.

This position reports directly to the Chief Engineer and plays an important role in supporting the daily operations of the Engineering Department. The Maintenance Supervisor will help ensure the hotel, guest rooms, public areas, meeting and banquet spaces, restaurants, equipment, and building systems are maintained to the highest standards.

As a Maintenance Worker, you will play an important role in keeping the hotel safe, comfortable, clean, and fully operational for our guests and team members.

You will work throughout the property, including guest rooms, public areas, meeting and banquet spaces, restaurants, back-of-house areas, and hotel equipment
, while supporting the Engineering team with daily maintenance needs.

A great hotel experience starts with a property that is well-maintained and functioning properly. Your work will directly contribute to guest satisfaction, team safety, and the overall appearance and performance of the hotel.

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments.
• Assist with basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building repairs
  .
• Inspect and maintain guest rooms, public areas, meeting/banquet spaces, restaurants, and back-of-house areas.
• Assist with repairs and maintenance of doors, locks, fixtures, furniture, lighting, appliances, and hotel equipment
  .
• Support the Engineering team with daily work orders and maintenance assignments.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and guest needs in a timely and professional manner.
• Help maintain hotel grounds and exterior areas as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Properly use and care for maintenance tools and equipment.
• Assist with preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled projects.
• Communicate maintenance concerns, safety issues, and equipment problems to the Engineering leadership team.
• Follow all safety procedures, Marriott brand standards, and company policies
  .
• Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with guests and team members.
• Assist with special projects, inspections, renovations, and property improvements as needed.

• Previous experience in hotel maintenance, building maintenance, facilities, construction, or a related field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance
  .
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.
• Ability to respond to maintenance requests and emergencies efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Reliable, dependable, and willing to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
• Ability to work independently while also supporting the Engineering team.
• Commitment to safety, preventative maintenance, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction
  .
• Marriott or full-service hotel experience is a plus.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  , as needed.
