Pay: $19.00-$21.00/hr.

Schedule:

Full Time, Tuesday – Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Maintain, clean, and repair all equipment and property as directed by work orders and/or supervisors, including floors, bathrooms, walls/ceilings, stairways, hallways, and elevators; remove dirt, dust, grease, and film from surfaces using appropriate cleaning and disinfecting solutions (50% of duties).
• Keep work areas safe by posting signs and removing hazardous objects; store equipment properly when tasks are finished.
• Use safety PPE and report health, safety, or sanitation concerns to a supervisor.
• Monitor community security, including managing entry and exit doors.
• Ensure maintenance and storage areas are clean, safe, and organized with chemicals and tools properly sealed, labeled, and stored.
• Follow techniques for storing, using, and disposing of chemicals and disinfectants; comply with waste disposal procedures.
• Follow PPE policies when handling chemicals or cleaning materials.
• Follow policies governing labels and MSDS.
• Address daily work orders such as replacing light bulbs, furniture repairs, bathroom and kitchen repairs, HVAC maintenance, and other general maintenance tasks to maintain buildings and furnishings (50% of duties).
• Keep common areas, bathrooms, administration offices, and apartments clean, attractive, and functioning.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor plumbing, electrical, and related systems; identify problems and source materials as needed.
• Plan, order, and perform interior/exterior painting and landscaping duties to keep grounds well kept and attractive.
• Maintain and repair pools/spas and equipment in compliance with governing regulations.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in, including painting/caulking, replacing window treatments, shampooing carpets, and other related repairs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Environmental Services or Executive Director.

• May assist in moving residents during emergencies; support maintenance team members as needed.
• Display tact, friendliness, and professionalism with residents, team members, and guests.
• Promote teamwork and open communication; support MBK principles and core values.
• Assist in marketing the community by presenting a positive and professional image.
• Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or designee.
• Commitment to customer service and ownership of community facilities.
• Encourage teamwork through open communication with coworkers and other departments.

• Age 18 or over, or have proper work permit and work authorization.
• High school diploma or equivalent (if over 18).
• Background clearances as required by government regulations.
• Health screening with negative TB test results within the last 6 months or within 7 days of employment.
• Valid class of driver’s license and valid auto insurance as required by state.
• Prior mechanical/troubleshooting experience preferred; on-the-job training available for the right attitude.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English; follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to operate a variety of tools and equipment safely.
• Ability to interact effectively with people of different ages and backgrounds.

Must be mobile and able to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting up to 75 pounds with assistance and frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, stooping, and other activities as required.
