Parts Clerk

Transdev in Capitol Heights, MD is hiring a Parts Clerk. The Parts Clerk is responsible for the receipt, verification, labeling, storage, documentation and security of all parts and supplies in the parts room. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

• Competitive compensation package of minimum $30.00 – maximum $40.00

• Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks
• Sick days: 5 days
• Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating

• Receives and stocks parts.
• Conducts price and quality survey.
• Provides counter service.
• Cleans and organizes shelves, bins, racks, etc. and maintains a clean and orderly parts room.
• Enters necessary data into computer program and ensures accuracy and reliability of the data.
• Maintains files and other related records. Provides reports as necessary.
• Orders special parts for repair orders, following order to maintain proper inventory levels.
• Operates parts recordkeeping system per location needs.
• Other duties as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of parts or vehicle maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong data entry skills.
• Computer literate with an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

• The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions – 100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
• Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
