Maintenance Assistance - Part-Time
At Allure of Moline, we're dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable environment for our residents. As a Part-Time Maintenance Aide, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our facility is well-maintained and efficient.
Summary:We're seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our team. In this role, you'll assist in planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the Maintenance Department. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating maintenance services, establishing a preventive maintenance program, and repairing facility and resident property as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Coordinate maintenance services and activities with other related departments
- Assist in establishing a preventive maintenance program
- Repair facility and resident property as necessary
- Assist in identifying and evaluating routine and job-related maintenance functions
- Inspect storage rooms, workrooms, and utility areas for upkeep and supply control
- Participate in facility surveys and develop plans of correction for maintenance deficiencies
- Keep abreast of economic conditions and recommend adjustments to maintenance services
- Supervise safety and fire protection programs
- Ensure that all personal protective equipment is used and maintained properly
- Assist in developing and implementing waste disposal policies and procedures
- Make periodic rounds to check equipment and assure that necessary equipment is available and working properly
- Must possess a high school education or its equivalent
- Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, and various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and deal tactfully with personnel, residents, and the general public
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
- Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies
- Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility
- Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, hostile people within the facility
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum of 50 feet
