Field Engineer Technician; Moncks Corner, SC

Overview

Holder Construction is currently seeking a Field Engineer Technician to support our Field Supervision in Moncks Corner, SC.

The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a challenging and fast-paced environment, with the ability to work independently on assignments, manage multiple projects, remain flexible, and meet tight deadlines.

• Operate electronic total station instruments, transit, auto-levels, and other surveying instruments.
• Set and mark stakes for slopes, grades, and other construction purposes; determine and set markers.
• Determine lines, corners, elevations, grades, alignments, angles, positions, and distances.
• Maintain total station and field books; maintain survey equipment and tools.
• Provide primary support to field supervision; demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks, maintain professionalism, and use critical thinking to solve issues.

• 2 years of construction/surveying experience using total stations and site levels.
• High school diploma/GED; complete understanding of surveying math; good communication skills required.

• Agile/mobile; able to stand or walk for long periods; use fingers, hands, and arms to handle and manipulate objects.
• Climb ladders, scaffolds, and other objects; work on uneven surfaces/heights; read/write; good vision and hearing (with or without correction).
• Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs., 75% of the time.
• Work in an OSHA-compliant safety environment; outdoor work; overtime and weekend hours; punctuality and promptness required daily.
