IGT is looking for a dynamic and forward‑thinking culinary leader to join us as Head Chef – Café & Catering Operations. As Head Chef, you’ll shape the culinary vision for our corporate cafeteria and catering services—elevating quality, driving operational excellence, and creating memorable dining experiences for our employees. This position is based at our Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada corporate office.

What Will You Be Doing?
  • Lead, mentor, and support the café team, creating a positive, collaborative, and high‑performing work environment.
  • Manage inventory levels and ordering of food and supplies, ensuring cost‑effective and sustainable purchasing practices.
  • Create and evolve menus that are nutritious, diverse, and appealing to a broad audience, with thoughtful attention to dietary needs and special requests.
  • Partner with the café team to plan and execute daily breakfast and lunch service, including à la carte offerings, batch cooking, and in‑house baking.
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of small and large catering events, from menu development and bulk production to presentation and service coordination.
  • Maintain strong control over food and labor costs through smart planning, portion management, and operational discipline.
  • Ensure food quality, consistency, and proper portioning to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
  • Stay hands‑on in food preparation and service, leading by example and setting the standard for culinary excellence.
  • Train and coach team members on culinary techniques, food safety, sanitation, and best practices.
  • Keep all kitchen and service areas clean, organized, and fully compliant with health and safety standards.
  • Build strong partnerships with vendors to support quality ingredients, competitive pricing, and reliable service.
  • Respond to customer feedback and inquiries promptly, always striving to enhance the overall experience.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
  • 3+ years of experience in a culinary leadership role, with strong hands‑on involvement in daily food service operations and team oversight.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and develop a high‑performing team.
  • Solid understanding of food cost control, menu pricing, and inventory management best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, supported by current certification, along with a deep understanding of sanitation standards and industry best practices.
  • Advanced culinary skills, with the versatility to prepare a wide variety of dishes using different techniques and styles.
  • Highly organized with strong time‑management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confident problem‑solver who can make sound decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Point‑of‑Sale systems, as well as digital tools for communication and promotions.
  • Flexible and willing to work after hours when needed to support events or operational requirements.
