DescriptionOur client is currently seeking a Maintenance Manager for their CPG Manufacturing Facility near Monmouth IL. The current Maintenance Manager is retiring but will be working with the new Manager for several months to ensure a smooth transition. The Maintenance Manager will lead the maintenance department of 15-16 Direct Reports to ensure optimal performance of all equipment, systems, and infrastructure. This role drives preventive maintenance programs, minimizes downtime, supports plant projects, and ensures compliance with safety & food quality standards.
The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a hands‑on approach to supporting plant operations.

Responsibilities- Lead, schedule, and direct all maintenance personnel to ensure efficient execution of daily activities.
- Provide hands‑on leadership, working alongside technicians when needed.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive preventive maintenance (PM) program (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual).
- Ensure proper documentation and audit readiness through CMMS systems.
- Oversee maintenance, repair, and continuous operation of all plant equipment and facility systems.
- Ensure all equipment meets operational, safety, and food safety standards.
- Manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work orders, scheduling, and asset tracking.
- Coordinate maintenance inventory to ensure availability of critical spare parts and materials.
- Maintain accurate reporting of maintenance activities, including daily summaries.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Support and lead plant improvement and capital projects.
- Bachelors Degree

- Trade School Certifications Preferred. - 5+ years of experience in maintenance management / supervision within manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and conveyance systems.
- Experience with Preventive Maintenance Programs and CMMS systems.
