Job Description

Stathakis is seeking a dependable janitor/custodian for a part-time, on-site position in Monroe, MI. This role is ideal for someone who values cleanliness, consistency, teamwork and takes pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming facility environment. The position is Mon-Fri and pays $15.25 an hour. The hours are Mon/Weds/Fri from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Tues/Thurs from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.

Summary

The Janitor/Custodian is responsible for performing general janitorial and custodial duties to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe facility. This role supports the day-to-day appearance and cleanliness of the building, including common areas, restrooms, floors, and other assigned spaces.

Key Responsibilities

Performing general cleaning and janitorial services throughout the facility

Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors

Empty trash receptacles and replace liners

Dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, and surfaces

Clean and sanitize restrooms

Restock paper products, soap, and other janitorial supplies

Clean common areas and help maintain a professional appearance throughout the building

Follow all company safety procedures and site-specific instructions

Report maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor

Complete additional cleaning duties as assigned

Qualifications

Janitorial, or custodial cleaning experience preferred, but not required
Strong attention to detail and dependability
Ability to work independently
Good time management and work habits
Ability to perform physical job duties, including standing, walking, bending, and routine lifting
Authorization to work in the United States
