Position Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment within a fast-paced industrial environment. This role supports production uptime by diagnosing issues, performing preventative maintenance, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot electrical circuits, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems on plant equipment
  • Install and align motors, blowers, transmissions, and newly acquired equipment
  • Troubleshoot controls for AC/DC motors and instrumentation
  • Rebuild mechanical gearboxes, vacuum pumps, and water pumps
  • Perform calibration of electrical equipment
  • Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement solutions
  • Complete assigned maintenance tasks and document work through SAP or CMMS systems
  • Train production employees on basic maintenance practices such as cleaning, inspection, and lubrication
  • Communicate with vendors as needed to support maintenance activities
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in maintenance and work areas
  • Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years of vocational or technical training with certification
  • 1+ year of industrial maintenance experience (3+ years preferred in a large industrial setting)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics (preferred)
  • Experience with CMMS systems (SAP preferred)
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis methods such as 5 Whys or FMEA (preferred)
  • Experience with IR technology, lubrication practices, oil analysis, and laser alignment
