Position Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment within a fast-paced industrial environment. This role supports production uptime by diagnosing issues, performing preventative maintenance, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot electrical circuits, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems on plant equipment
- Install and align motors, blowers, transmissions, and newly acquired equipment
- Troubleshoot controls for AC/DC motors and instrumentation
- Rebuild mechanical gearboxes, vacuum pumps, and water pumps
- Perform calibration of electrical equipment
- Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement solutions
- Complete assigned maintenance tasks and document work through SAP or CMMS systems
- Train production employees on basic maintenance practices such as cleaning, inspection, and lubrication
- Communicate with vendors as needed to support maintenance activities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in maintenance and work areas
- Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years of vocational or technical training with certification
- 1+ year of industrial maintenance experience (3+ years preferred in a large industrial setting)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics (preferred)
- Experience with CMMS systems (SAP preferred)
- Knowledge of root cause analysis methods such as 5 Whys or FMEA (preferred)
- Experience with IR technology, lubrication practices, oil analysis, and laser alignment
