Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

Location:

Monroe, WI

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM, overtime as required

Pay Range: $28.92 - $38.32 per hour

About the Role

Eastridge Workforce Solutions is partnering with an established food manufacturing organization in the Monroe, Wisconsin area to identify a 1st Shift Maintenance Technician. This position works closely with maintenance, production, and plant leadership to help keep manufacturing equipment and facility systems operating safely and efficiently. The role includes preventive maintenance, equipment repair, facility maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of scheduled sanitation-related maintenance activities.

Candidates should be self-motivated and comfortable working independently with limited supervision. Emergency call-ins may be required based on schedule, and weekend or occasional holiday work may also be necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Complete assigned preventive maintenance activities and scheduled sanitation-related maintenance tasks
  • Perform scheduled and emergency repairs on production machinery and related equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment and facility systems to identify mechanical and electrical issues
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and preventive maintenance records
  • Coordinate with management and production personnel to schedule repairs and minimize disruption to operations
  • Identify and obtain parts, supplies, and materials required to complete maintenance work
  • Support repair and maintenance needs involving plant equipment and facility systems
  • Perform additional assigned maintenance duties as required
Qualifications
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and facility systems including HVAC, refrigeration, boilers, and general electrical systems
  • Experience working with variable frequency drives (VFDs)
  • Basic understanding of PLCs and process engineering principles
  • Basic plumbing and carpentry skills
  • Strong listening skills and the ability to ask questions to fully understand work-related instructions
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures and SOPs
  • Demonstrated initiative and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team with a positive attitude
  • Dependable attendance and ability to meet business demands
  • High level of honesty and integrity
  • Ability to maintain required personal hygiene standards in accordance with GMPs
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Food manufacturing experience preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
  • Moderately strenuous work involving standing and walking with frequent bending, twisting, pushing, and squatting
  • Repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $28.92 - $38.32 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
