Maintains the cleanliness, appearance, and general condition of assigned school facilities, furnishings, and equipment. Performs routine cleaning duties and other custodial tasks to provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Reports maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or repair needs promptly to the appropriate supervisor and assists with other custodial responsibilities as assigned. Guard against waste of fuel, water, light, power, and supplies.

Carry out all work orders relating to buildings and grounds as assigned. Operate or otherwise use such maintenance and custodial supplies and equipment, as assigned, in a safe, effective, and careful manner. Assist the Director of Building and Grounds in maintenance, care, and inventory of all custodial supplies, materials, and equipment. Notify the Director of Building and Grounds, or his designee, of major equipment and service breakdowns.

Perform such tasks and assume such other responsibilities as may be assigned. Able to consistently lift and move loads of up to fifty pounds.

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• A minimum of three years' experience in custodial/maintenance activities in an institutional setting preferred.
• Such alternative and/or additions to the above qualifications that the Superintendent approves.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Dependable and responsible in carrying out assignments.
• Mature adult of good moral character.
• Enjoy working in a school atmosphere.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with co-workers.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
