Yellowstone Mountain Club, LLC d/b/a Yellowstone Club, located in Big Sky, Montana, is hiring a full‑time, temporary Maintenance II for the period of October 15, 2026 to July 31, 2027.
LocationAll worksites are in Gallatin and Madison Counties, Montana. Each location is within a normal commuting distance of the primary job site (less than one hour). Transportation between sites is provided.
Responsibilities- Provide engineering and maintenance services for acquisition, operation, and lifecycle maintenance of club facilities.
- Contribute to minor and major facility improvements and renovations, managing repair, maintenance projects, and building improvements.
- Coordinate maintenance efforts with engineering and other departments to minimize operational disruptions.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, motors, plumbing systems, and electrical components.
- Monitor, maintain, and perform tests on fire alarm and life safety systems, ice rink systems, pool mechanical systems, and snowmelt systems.
- Respond to emergencies involving mechanical or safety systems.
- Maintain logs and track readings from meters, gauges, and other instruments to support operational efficiency.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), personal protective equipment (PPE), and OSHA standards.
- Use the club’s CMMS system (Limble) to process work orders, ensuring timely completion and accurate documentation.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds as required.
- At least one year of maintenance experience at a high‑end hotel, resort, private club, or comparable commercial facility.
- Successful completion of a pre‑employment background check.
- U.S. or international driver’s license to operate club‑owned vehicles on property.
- Ability to adhere to safety protocols and lift up to 50 pounds.
The role requires 40 hours per week with additional hours available during peak times, including overtime. Work shifts may vary and can include morning, evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Sample shifts include 7:00 am, 8:00 am, 11:00 am, 12:00 pm, 3:00 pm, 6:00 pm, 8:00 pm, and 10:00 pm. The schedule may also include overnight shifts.
Wage: $24.23–$40.00 per hour, paid bi‑weekly.
Overtime: $36.65–$60.00 per hour.
A discretionary season‑end bonus may be awarded.
- Optional seasonal housing at YMCA satellite venues, with bi‑weekly housing costs ranging from $225.00 to $700.00.
- Tenants must pay a refundable security deposit of $250.00–$400.00.
- Housing options are offered on a first‑come, first‑served basis and vary by department.
- Key Seasonal status (≥3,200 hours worked) qualifies for optional medical, dental, and vision insurance and the ability to accrue vacation or sick time.
- All seasonal workers are eligible for a 401(k) plan and may voluntarily elect to have contributions deducted from pay.
- Travel and subsistence expenses (including transportation to and from recruitment sites) are reimbursed during the first workweek and the last workweek. Daily subsistence is $16.78 per day, capped at $68.00 with receipts.
- The employer covers all tools, supplies, and equipment necessary for the job.
Work may be performed any day of the week, from Monday through Sunday, with shift timing varying by location (morning, afternoon, evening, late evening, or overnight).
