Summary

Supervisor a hardworking team responsible for providing building services to all resort facilities including but not limited to cleaning services, drinking water quality monitoring and snow removal. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employee’s job is to get and keep guests.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assisting department supervisor with hiring, training, motivating, scheduling, evaluating, and disciplining a staff of 10-15 people.
  • Assist department supervisor with communicating daily duties and special projects with department staff.
  • Plan and direct cleaning, disinfecting or snow removal projects related to resort facilities as needed.
  • Follow up on requests and prepare project lists with projected timelines for department managers.
  • Common duties include (but not limited to) vacuuming, dusting, mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, supply stocking, shoveling and trash removal.
  • Assist with snow/ice removal operations when needed.
  • Log daily supply inventory levels.
  • Maintain clean and organized storage areas of cleaning products and equipment.
  • Assist guests with basic resort knowledge about base‑area layout, product knowledge and general operations.
  • Contribute to team effort by participating in Job Sharing, assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and safety of guests and employees; participating in safety meetings; accepting diverse assignments; maintain a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions.
Responsibilities to Safety
  • Protect the safety of self, co‑workers, and Sierra‑at‑Tahoe Resort guests at all times.
  • Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
  • Report safety‑related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.
  • Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures.
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.

    Education and/or Experience

    High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Language Skills

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
    Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
    Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

    Mathematical Skills

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
    Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
