Job Overview
The Cashier ensures an excellent experience for their guests by exceeding expectations and taking, assembling, and serving orders accurately. The Cashier cares for their guests first before anything else, delighting them with friendly and caring service that creates loyalty. The Cashier also ensures the dining room is kept clean and presentable, and contributes to achieving A&W operating standards.
ResponsibilitiesThe Cashier is responsible for:
- Taking, assembling, and serving orders accurately.
- Ensuring the dining room remains clean and presentable.
- Delivering outstanding guest service on each visit.
- Participating in online learning and hands‑on training to prepare food to standard recipes or customized for guests.
- Implementing new innovations from A&W.
- Working flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Collaborating with team members in a dynamic fast‑food environment.
- Excellent guest service.
- Ability to work as a team.
- Multi‑tasking.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Effective communication skills.

- Occasionally lift heavy boxes (max 50 lbs) during inventory or prep.
- Remain mentally alert to ensure safety of self, co‑workers, and guests.
- Maintain good personal hygiene and appropriate uniform.
- Handle stressful situations effectively.
