Custodian - Floater

Position Details

• Schedule: Flexible schedule required. Floater role with option to choose morning (7 am - 5 pm) or night shift (5 pm - 1:30am).
• Location: Travel between multiple job sites in surrounding Monterey Park area based on coverage needs. Must be comfortable commuting to different locations as needed.
• Pay: $20.06/hour

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, and counters. Clean and disinfect restrooms.
• Restocking Supplies: Keep restrooms stocked. Ensure dispensers filled and monitor supplies.
• Floor Care: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Safety & Security: Identify safety hazards and report to supervisor.
• Customer Service: Provide courteous assistance to staff, visitors, and team members.

• Experience: At least one year of janitorial or cleaning experience preferred.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Skills: Ability to use cleaning equipment, knowledge of safety protocols, work independently and interact courteously.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Stand, walk, move continuously throughout shift on various surfaces; climb stairs and navigate multi-floor facilities.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, pull up to 25 lbs unassisted; up to 35 lbs infrequently.
  • Push and maneuver loaded carts weighing up to 25 lbs frequently; up to 35 lbs infrequently.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, squatting, overhead reaching up to 8 ft using step stool or ladder; repeated twisting and extension of arms while mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, wiping surfaces.
  • Grip, squeeze, manipulate cleaning tools, spray bottles, brooms, mops, equipment controls continuously; manual dexterity for floor buffers, auto scrubbers, wet/dry vacuums, steam cleaners.
  • Identify areas requiring cleaning, inspect surfaces for soil, read product labels and safety data sheets; color discrimination to sort waste streams and chemicals.
  • Work in environments with varying temperatures, high humidity, exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, odors, allergens while following PPE and safety protocols.
  • Maintain consistent physical output throughout shift with standard rest breaks.
