JOB TITLE: Food Service Equipment Technician
REPORTS TO: HVAC Foreman
WORKDAYS: 12 Months (240 Days)
SALARY: Classified Schedule 63-6 ($59,066 – $67,982)
LOCATION: Service Center
FLSA Status: EXEMPT NON-EXEMPT X
JOB DESCRIPTION: Maintain commercial food service equipment:
Pressure steamers, combi-ovens, dishwashers, ice machines, convention ovens, etc.
- Ability to service and maintain commercial refrigeration equipment.
- Ability to work on gas fired equipment and installation of and electrical equipment.
- Fill out necessary reports to properly document all material and labor expended on each job and perform duties unassisted.
- Performs daily check on assigned vehicle to insure that is in proper mechanical condition, including sufficient gas and oil for the vehicle. Reports necessary mechanical repairs to the proper department.
- Subject to being called to work before or after normal working hours in case of an emergency and be willing to work in whatever capacity needed to make the schools and Board property safe for students and Board employees.
- Must adhere to all Board of Education regulations, both present and future.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may require.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Two years of trade school or 3 years as an apprentice of above trade.
- Universal Certificate in Refrigerant Transition and Recovery.
- Possess a valid Alabama Driver’s License.
- Physically able to perform the duties of the position
