Performs repair and preventive maintenance duties on building, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and refrigeration systems. Installs new equipment in all areas of facilities used and owned by Baptist Health Systems and Services.

High School diploma or equivalent required with certification or license in a field related to engineering or a minimum of 15 years experience in Maintenance or Engineering.

• Basic interpreting of blue prints on buildings and schematics on equipment.
• Ability to observe, assesses, and record work, safety and infection control standards.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.

Working inside 60% of the time. Exposed to various types of weather conditions 40% of the time. There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action. Lifting objects up to 50 lbs. There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.

Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range. Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Noise levels high around some equipment. Work required in restricted areas occasionally. Much exposure to computer work. Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock. Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks. Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
