laborer iii- transportation (vehicle mechanic)

qualifications:

• some experience repairing passenger vehicles, such as school buses, is highly desirable
• must obtain cdl and alsde certification
• must have current alabama driver's license and montgomery public schools insurable driving record

essential duties:

• perform general maintenance and repair work on various vehicles (primarily school buses)
• repair and install all types of tires and rims
• drive school buses
• comply with safety requirements
• keep records of time, materials, parts and work performed in accordance with department policy
• participate in on-the-job and other formal and informal training and orientation programs
• adequate strength, dexterity, and agility to perform all required tasks
• perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor
