Position/Role: Hotel Maintenance Worker
Location: Double Tree by Hilton Hotel Montgomery Downtown, Montgomery, AL
Pay Range: $15- $17 per hour (Compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience)

As a Maintenance Worker, you will play an important role in keeping our hotel safe, comfortable, clean, and fully operational for our guests and team members.

You will support the Engineering team with daily maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance, and property upkeep throughout guest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces, exterior areas, and back-of-house areas.

A well-maintained hotel is an important part of a great guest experience. Your attention to detail and hands-on work will help ensure our guests enjoy a comfortable stay and our team has a safe and functional workplace.

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments.
• Assist with basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building repairs
  .
• Inspect and maintain guest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces, back-of-house areas, and exterior spaces.
• Repair and maintain doors, locks, fixtures, furniture, lighting, appliances, and hotel equipment.
• Complete assigned maintenance work orders accurately and efficiently.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and guest needs in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled projects.
• Help maintain hotel grounds, exterior areas, and common areas as needed.
• Assist with basic maintenance of meeting and event spaces.
• Keep maintenance areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
• Communicate maintenance concerns, safety issues, and equipment problems to the Engineering leadership team.
• Assist with property improvement projects, inspections, renovations, and repairs as needed.
• Support outside vendors and contractors when they are working on hotel property.
• Follow all Hilton brand standards, safety procedures, and company policies

• Provide professional and courteous service to guests and team members.

• Previous experience in hotel maintenance, building maintenance, facilities, construction, or a related field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools.
• Reliable, dependable, and willing to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests.
• Ability to work independently while supporting the Engineering team.
• Commitment to safety, preventative maintenance, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
• Hilton or hotel maintenance experience is a plus.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
