• Actively participate in training and retraining programs as directed by Plant Management.
• Perform duties under written plant maintenance procedures and document records.
• Operate from scaffolds and catwalks in high and confined areas when necessary.
• Accept temporary assignments at other locations, including nuclear plants, as prescribed by Plant Management.
• Meet screening requirements under NRC regulations.
• Be respirator qualified.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completed the Apprenticeship Training Course for a Repairman.
• Completed Apprentice Machinist training.
• Knowledge of power plant equipment and general maintenance practices.
• Proficient in all machinist tools and precision instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to take measurements or clearance readings of equipment as required by management.
• Proficient in verbal and written communication with plant personnel.
• Pass the EEI MASS test, or be grandfathered.
• Successfully obtain and maintain a General Security Clearance and a Nuclear Security Clearance for unescorted access to Xcel Energy nuclear plants, including completion of Nuclear General Access Training (GAT) and the nuclear security screening process.
