POSITION

Under the supervision of the Head Chef, the successful candidate will assist the Head Chef and other cooks in their duties. They will participate in the preparation of cold dishes and desserts, cut and peel vegetables and fruit, plate dishes, prepare meal trolleys, and assist the rest of the team with the maintenance of equipment and the kitchen.

Temporary full-time position, 32 hours per week, from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., working days Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

ROLE AND

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Carry out cutting and peeling vegetables and fruits

Food Services

Assemble plates of food

Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork

Ensure the kitchen and equipment are kept clean according to established hygiene and cleanliness standards

Maintaining the cleanliness of equipment and the workspace

Manning the warm table, help residences with their choices

Perform other related duties

Supervise the preparation of cold meals and desserts

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in a large restoration's volume (an asset)

Knowledge of retirement homes, an asset

1 year of experience in a similar position required

Good team player

Good sense of interpersonal communication
