Description
Operators 1-3 work in a leadership role in basket operations and are responsible for operating the standalone snubbing unit at Mid Atlantic Energy Services. These workers have several years of experience and have preferably completed formal training and competency evaluation. They are responsible for operating the snubbing jacket, leading the crew in changeovers, rig up and rig down activities, coordinating the crew during mobilizations, crew changeovers and supply management.
They are responsible for troubleshooting and performing repairs and maintenance.
Job Requirements Include
- Demonstrates strong leadership abilities.
- Able to work effectively under pressure.
- Able to lift
- Able to work 12+ hours at a time, outdoors and in all weather conditions.
- Able to push/pull and complete repetitive tasks for long periods of time.
- Able to life and maneuver items overhead
- Able to use hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, etc. without mobility restrictions.
- High tolerance for busy, noisy and high stress environments
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable working at heights (sometimes extreme height)
- Able to work out of town for extended periods of time (up to 28 days)
- Must be able to successfully complete a competency evaluation for the respective position.
Experience:
3+ years of experience in snubbing operations.
Education:
Must be able to read, write and perform basic math functions.
Must have a valid IADC Well Control Ticket.
Schedule:
13 hour shifts, alternating days and nights on a 28/14 schedule.
Requirements:
Pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, background check and a clean driving record.
