As a Boiler Room Technician/Operator
, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of boiler systems and related equipment to ensure uninterrupted production processes and facility operations. Your primary duties will include monitoring boiler performance, conducting routine inspections, performing preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions. Additional duties may be assigned.
- Operate and maintain low‑pressure boilers
- Perform compression and safety tests
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Perform minor pipe repairs
- Replace worn parts, including valves and filters and traps
- Ability to take boilers apart for yearly inspections
- Light plumbing experience
- Assisting facilities staff on other projects
- Other types of work outside of boiler operations may be assigned
- Performs other specific program responsibilities and related duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Completion of an apprenticeship or training program
- Boiler Operator license, minimum black seal
- Electrical experience a plus
- Light plumbing experience
- Driver's license and reliable transportation
- Physical stamina
Salary Range: $55,000 to $65,000
