Job Description

The Army National Guard utilizes many forms of sophisticated equipment on and off the field. As a Special Electronic Devices Repairer, you will ensure that vital instruments and tools are meticulously maintained and operational. This includes night vision equipment, electronic distance and azimuth‑orienting devices, battlefield illumination devices, nuclear, biological, and chemical warning and measuring devices, and others.

Earn while you learn: you will receive paid training, a regular paycheck, tuition assistance, and a structured training schedule spanning 10 weeks of Basic Training and 25 weeks of Advanced Individual Training.

• Test instruments, navigational controls, and simulators.
• Read technical diagrams and manuals.
• Replace parts as needed.
• Ensure quality control measures.
• Troubleshoot and inspect equipment.
• Supervise and train other Soldiers (for advanced level).

• Interest in mathematics, problem solving, and electronic equipment repair.

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard required.
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or hold a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years of age.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
