Janitor

2400 John Brantley Blvd, Morrisville, NC 27560 (Raleigh Durham International Airport)

Full Time. 1st shift: 6:00am–2:30pm ($17.00/hr). 2nd shift: 2:00pm–10:30pm ($17.00/hr). 3rd shift: 10:00pm–6:30am ($17.50/hr).

• Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing/buffing machines.
• Clean walls, ceilings, light fixtures, windows, and glass surfaces.
• Wash and replace blinds.
• Move furniture, boxes, equipment, and crates to clean areas.
• Use chemicals and cleaning solutions to remove stains from rugs, drapes, walls, and floors.
• Perform seasonal outdoor tasks such as sweeping, raking leaves, cutting grass, and removing snow.
• Dust or clean office furniture, high partitions, and cornices.
• Empty waste baskets, replace liners, and keep janitor’s closet neat.
• Clean restrooms: disinfect toilets, basins, urinals; mop floors; refill dispensers.
• Dust overhead vents, clean blinds, polish wood furniture, and clean interior partition glass.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and proper storage.

• Basic knowledge of janitorial duties and responsibilities.
• Strong listening and verbal communication skills.
• English speaking and understanding abilities (where required).
• Maintains a neat appearance and follows uniform policy.
• Attends periodic training and safety meetings.
• Anticipates and responds to client needs promptly.
• Reliability and punctuality.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
• Six months of experience in commercial facilities janitorial work desired.

• Small to large office environment.
• Safety glasses required for certain tasks.
• Fast‑paced work setting.
• Exposure to dust, odors, oil, fumes, cleaning products, and moderate noise levels.
• Both office and shop settings; typical indoor conditions.

• Repetitive movements: standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and using hands.
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods.
• Occasional lifting or moving of at least 40pounds of cleaning equipment or trash.
• Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment.
