JOB TITLE:

BASIC SCOPE/PURPOSE

Summary:

This position is responsible for performing routine facility and equipment maintenance, including

repairing structural components (e.g., doors, windows, walls), conducting inspections, and ensuring

the building operates safely and efficiently. The role also coordinates repairs with third-party vendors,

manages maintenance supplies and inventory, and oversees the maintenance budget.

PRINCIPAL

ACCOUNTABILITIES /ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for facility equipment to minimize

downtime and maximize efficiency.

• Identify and repair potential safety hazards to prevent injuries.

• Inspect fire equipment and other safety-related items (e.g., eyewash stations, first aid kits).

• Test and recommend new maintenance products and materials.

• Monitor pest control services and address related facility issues.

• Maintain inventory of cleaning, maintenance, and repair supplies.

• Conduct regular inspections and coordinate repairs for equipment such as forklifts, conveyor

systems, and automated machinery.

• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs or replacements with internal teams

or external vendors.

• Develop and manage the maintenance department budget for supplies, tools, and

equipment.

• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.

• Procure tools, supplies, and spare parts as needed.

EDUCATION AND/OR

EXPERIENCE:

Selective Preference:

• Strong technical and mechanical skills sufficient to repair/maintain facility structure and

equipment.

• Previous experience in building maintenance, warehouse maintenance, or similar industrial

environment.

Knowledge:
• Basic plumbing, electrical, and interior construction skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and general safety codes.

Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in an organized and clean manner.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and adhere to maintenance schedules.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability:
• Ability to lift, move, and carry heavy objects.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and use hands regularly throughout the shift.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.

Work Environment:

• Office:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard

office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

• Warehouse:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to

moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to noisy.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

The employee frequently stands, walks, bends, reaches, and uses hands to handle tools and

materials. The employee must be able to:

• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly.

• Occasionally lift or move items up to 75 lbs with assistance or proper equipment.

• Perform physical tasks for extended periods, including standing, walking, climbing

ladders, and working in elevated or confined spaces as needed.
