Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Compliance Analyst III / Trade Compliance Specialist to support its U.S. manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for ensuring all import and export activities comply with U.S. trade regulations and corporate policies. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in trade compliance within a manufacturing environment
, with the ability to manage regulatory risk, documentation accuracy, and cross-functional coordination.
This position plays a critical role in avoiding regulatory penalties, ensuring smooth supply chain operations, and supporting continuous improvement in trade compliance processes
.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with U.S. trade regulations, including EAR, ITAR, OFAC, CBP, and BIS
- Assign and maintain accurate HTS and ECCN classifications for products, components, and technologies
- Prepare, review, and validate commercial invoices, pack lists, and certificates of origin
- Coordinate daily import and export shipments with freight forwarders and customs brokers
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customs brokers, carriers, and logistics partners
- Conduct internal trade compliance audits to ensure documentation accuracy and record retention
- Perform restricted and denied party screenings to mitigate regulatory risk
- Support duty optimization programs
, including FTAs and duty drawback initiatives - Provide compliance training and guidance to cross-functional teams (procurement, engineering, sales)
- Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance compliance controls
- Maintain compliance documentation and reporting within ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain, or related field
- 3-5 years of trade compliance or import/export experience (manufacturing environment required)
- Strong knowledge of U.S. trade regulations (CBP, BIS, EAR, ITAR, OFAC)
- Hands-on experience with customs classification, valuation, and country-of-origin rules
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and trade compliance software
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced onsite environment
- Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or CUSECO certification
- Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial operations
- Exposure to FTA management, audits, or duty drawback programs
- Fully onsite manufacturing office environment
- Occasional minimal exposure to shop floor (PPE provided)
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs when required
- Standard office equipment usage
