Golf School District 67 is seeking a student-centered, collaborative, and enthusiastic School Psychologist to join the Golf Middle School staff. In this role, you will leverage data-based decision making and evidence-based strategies to support students' academic, social, and life skills , fully aligning with our district mission: "Learning Today... Leading Tomorrow".

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
  • Candidates must hold or be eligible to attain an Illinois Professional Education License (PEL) with a School Psychologist Endorsement.
  • Candidates should have an EL Endorsement or possess demonstrated knowledge of best practices regarding multi-lingual learners.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & GOALS
  • Assessment & Data Management:
    Direct data-based decision making for student evaluations. Utilize knowledge of research design, statistics, and measurement to interpret assessment data and maintain accurate record systems.
  • Compliance:
    Ensure absolute compliance with all legal statutes and regulations regarding Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Section 504 Plans.
  • Instructional Planning:
    Establish tailored student programming goals based on child development, disabilities, and diverse learner profiles.
  • Student Support & Intervention:
    Promote positive behavior and social-emotional skills across all environments. Provide vital leadership for crisis prevention, crisis intervention strategies, and multi-tiered resource systems.
  • Collaboration & Leadership:
    Lead and implement problem-solving processes. Partner closely with staff and administration regarding MTSS and SEL programming, offering specialized leadership for parent engagement within the MTSS framework.
  • Professional Conduct:
    Communicate clearly with parents, administrators, and stakeholders while exhibiting the highest levels of integrity and professional ethics.
WORK ENVIRONMENT &

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Physical Demands:
    Standard tasks require occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Dexterity:
    Significant finger dexterity is required.
  • Mobility:
    The role generally requires 40% walking, 40% standing, and 20% sitting.
  • Environment:
    Responsibilities are carried out under minimal temperature variations within a generally hazard-free environment.

Salary will be established in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between the Board of Education and the Golf Teachers and Support Staff Union Local 1274. The specific range is determined based on the candidate's education level and years of experience.
