CNC Setup Operator
Join our team as a CNC Setup Operator where you will set up and operate CNC lathes and mills, primarily using Mazak, Haas, or similar CNC equipment. You will be responsible for loading raw materials, ensuring proper alignment, and conducting in-process inspections using precision tools. Additionally, you will monitor machine performance, troubleshoot tooling, and maintain quality standards to meet tight tolerance requirements.
Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills.
- Load raw materials and fixtures, ensuring proper alignment and setup.
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work instructions.
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and indicators.
- Monitor machine performance and make minor offsets or adjustments as needed.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of tooling, fixtures, and part defects.
- Maintain quality standards to meet tight tolerance requirements.
- Change tooling and inserts according to job specifications.
- Document production counts, scrap, and quality checks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures.
- Collaborate with programmers, lead operators, and quality personnel to improve processes.
- 3 years of experience operating CNC Machines.
- Ability to stand for 8 hours a day.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with reading blueprints and using measuring instruments.
- Experience in operating multiple machines when needed.
- Adherence to all safety and work rules and practices.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in both setup and programming.
- Experience with Mazak Mills and Okuma Mills.

This is a Permanent position based out of Morton Grove, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $72800.00/yr.
