The Pastry Sous Chef supports the Executive Pastry Chef in leading our pastry department, ensuring high-quality production, recipe development, and staff supervision. This is a hands‑on role blending leadership with production responsibilities in a fast‑paced, high‑volume kitchen.

• Oversee daily pastry production and quality control
• Scale, prepare, and produce recipes to exact standards
• Train, mentor, and supervise pastry staff
• Develop new recipes and contribute to seasonal menus
• Manage inventory, purchasing needs, and scheduling
• Ensure sanitation, safety, and compliance standards
• Support off‑site catering events and peak business periods

• 2+ years of progressive pastry or baking experience (catering, hotel, or fine dining preferred)
• Leadership skills with ability to train and motivate staff
• Strong organizational and communication skills
  
  Hands‑on, collaborative approach to kitchen management
• Working knowledge of Spanish preferred

Location: Morton Grove, IL (North Shore / Chicago suburbs)

Salary: $25 - $27 per hour
