Position Overview
- This position will perform general building maintenance tasks on a regular and continuing basis. It will provide general support for a variety of construction, trades, landscaping, exterior service and maintenance areas to repair and maintain university facilities and grounds. Job duties will vary widely depending on the work and projects assigned. Duties may include:
Utilize basic tools and equipment Repair and maintain basic machinery, equipment and facility property Assist with routine facility inspections and monitor cleanliness Assist with inventory and distribution of deliveries Manually move and transfer items Participate in snow removal Other duties as assigned

Required Experience
- Working in a team to accomplish goals

Required Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Other
- Possess a valid driver's license and the ability to meet university requirements for driving university-owned vehicles Be at least 18 years of age

Additional Preferred

- Experience:

Working in construction or building maintenance Using power tools and equipment Expressed interest in learning and acquiring skills related to building maintenance

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Must be able to:
Bend, stoop and work in awkward positions for several hours at a time Climb and work from ladders, scaffolding and scissor lifts Carry, lift or otherwise move items weighing up to 50 pounds Stand and walk continuously throughout the workday Work in inclement weather conditions
