Location:

Salary: $27.00 - $28.00 hourly
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Proficiently perform a wide variety of building maintenance and mechanical work including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, interior and exterior painting, masonry, drywall repair, small appliance and minor equipment repair and troubleshooting.
- Promptly respond to resident apartment maintenance or repairs.
- Inspect and prepare all apartments for rent‑ready status before new residents move in.
- Evaluate performance of all service contractors.
- Perform required painting of apartments, general maintenance, ground maintenance and other duties necessary to operate the community safely.
- Perform appropriate floor‑covering cleaning (shampooing, buffing, stripping, waxing, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with all company, state, local or federal health, safety, building, fire and insurance codes or requirements.
- Maintain effective inventory and loss‑control program for supplies, parts, tools and equipment of the maintenance department.
- Provide safe and efficient transportation for residents when necessary, including activities, appointments, events and emergencies.
- Participate in all required training, orientations, meetings and programs offered by the employer.
- Present a professional demeanor that communicates to current and prospective residents the corporate philosophy of service, goodwill and genuine interest in the resident’s unique needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of one (1) year of hospitality/commercial maintenance experience.
- Computer‑related experience with building maintenance software is preferred.
- Ability to relate positively to the elderly.
- Skilled maintenance person for general maintenance duties.
- Clean, tidy and appropriately dressed.
- Use caution in performing duties and maintain safe working practices.
- Current state‑specific driver’s license with an appropriate driving record.
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Compassion for the elderly.
- Self‑motivation.
