Job Summary

Maintenance Planner & Scheduler, Onsite – Moses Lake, WA. Responsible for managing workflows through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for the Maintenance and Facilities team, ensuring maintenance activities align with company policies, safety regulations, and operational goals.

Responsibilities
  • Follow company policies, procedures, work instructions, documented systems, and regulatory requirements, including safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Create, prioritize, and manage work orders, balancing scheduled work with labor availability and skill sets.
  • Develop preventative maintenance (PM) plans and set PM frequencies based on manufacturer recommendations, maintenance intervals, and historic CMMS data.
  • Review, assign, and close out completed work orders and PMs, and address work order and PM backlogs.
  • Manage inventory levels and spare parts, validate inventory, and order parts when necessary.
  • Support staff in using the CMMS, identify improvement opportunities, and utilize analysis and reporting tools to validate CMMS functionality.
  • Receive feedback from maintenance and facilities teams, communicate problems and improvement opportunities to Maintenance Management.
  • Estimate labor, materials, special tools, equipment, and skill sets for all work, including complex projects such as plant shutdowns and plant improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Management to coordinate activities during plant shutdowns.
  • Coordinate maintenance needs with operations to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain and monitor a weekly work order schedule for all maintenance shifts.
  • Develop, evaluate, and implement detailed standard operating procedures.
  • Add equipment and assets to the CMMS system and correct data discrepancies.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of maintenance/planner experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical role in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of experience using a CMMS system (e.g., eMaint, SAP, Maximo, MP2).
  • Background in maintenance and repair of equipment to effectively plan daily maintenance activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, including spreadsheets and macros.
  • Strong project management, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all levels of employees and customers.
  • Physical stamina to sit, stand, and walk for 10+ hours per day and lift 40 pounds throughout the shift.
Nice to Have
  • Associate’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or related field.
  • Experience implementing Preventative Maintenance systems in manufacturing.
  • Supervisory experience (1‑3 years) over a maintenance/facilities team.
  • Maintenance of process equipment, machinery, tools, and facilities systems.
  • Predictive maintenance program experience.
  • Knowledge of Lean Principles, continuous improvement, process management, root cause analysis.
Physical Requirements
  • 10‑hour shifts.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds.
  • Standing for long periods, walking, bending, stooping.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $28 – $38 hourly, based on education, experience, certifications, and other factors.
