Maintenance Technician; Facilities​/Building Maintenance

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Pace is hiring a facilities technician to support building and facility operations at our Mount Juliet Location. This role is ideal for someone with general maintenance, facilities, or hands‑on repair experience.

$19.70 per hour

• Perform general building maintenance (electrical, plumbing, painting, basic repairs)
• Complete preventative maintenance and routine facility inspections
• Troubleshoot and repair basic equipment and facility issues
• Support groups maintenance and overall facility upkeep
• Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and documentation
• Assist with safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness of the facility
• Communicate maintenance needs and elevate complex repairs as needed for the lab

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ year of maintenance, facilities, or hands‑on work experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Technical knowledge of maintenance (basic electrical, carpentry, equipment, painting, grounds and facility maintenance).
• Understanding of daily administration and oversight of maintenance programs, policies and procedures.
• Ability to resolve technical maintenance problems.
• Proficiency with computer applications relevant to the work.
• Strong communication skills (business English, spelling, grammar, punctuation).
• Experience performing electrical, carpentry, equipment, painting, and grounds maintenance duties.
• Team‑oriented and project‑management skills.
• Ability to interpret and apply organizational policies and procedures.
• Organizational skills for maintaining databases, forms, documents.
• Initiative and judgment within department policies.
• Professional demeanor (tact, discretion, prudence) working with staff and stakeholders.
• Effective oral presentation skills to groups and peers.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals.
