Maintenance Technician - Legacy Village

Description

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician for our Legacy Village location. The community has 212 units and is located off Highway 41 near Legacy Golf Course in Springfield, TN. Legacy Village features well‑maintained two‑story buildings and a large maintenance shop. As the Maintenance Technician you will assist with all general maintenance of the apartment community, including routine and preventive maintenance, turnover maintenance, and other duties to maintain the property.

Monday – Friday 8AM – 5PM, with occasional on‑call rotation and additional pay. Schedule may change based on business needs.

• Complete work orders and other community maintenance
• Maintain community appearance at or above quality standards, including trash removal and cleaning buildings and amenities
• Identify and report needed maintenance and liability hazards to the Manager
• Prepare vacant apartments for move‑in
• Follow the make‑ready board and manager directions for vacant apartments
• Make all repairs and replacements necessary for an apartment to be occupied
• Work odd schedules and be on call as required
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

• 2+ years of general maintenance experience
• EPA universal HVAC license required (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
• CPO license preferred
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations
• HVAC certification preferred; ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and major appliances (washer/dryer)
• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred; college‑level or trade school preferred
• Basic computer proficiency preferred
• Bilingual language skills a plus

Exposure to constant activity requiring intermittent standing, bending, crouching, pushing/pulling, lifting/moving/carrying light and heavy loads, and climbing stairs and ladders.
