Housekeeper
As a housekeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our healthcare facility. Your responsibilities will include cleaning and maintaining patient rooms, restrooms, waiting areas, offices, and hallways. You will be responsible for sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, and polishing floors and surfaces, as well as emptying trash and disposing of waste according to hospital procedures.
Additionally, you will clean and disinfect furniture, fixtures, glass, and other touchpoint surfaces while replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, sanitizer, and linens. Your role will also involve responding to cleaning requests, spills, and housekeeping concerns throughout the facility to support overall cleanliness and infection-prevention efforts.
- Clean and maintain patient rooms, restrooms, waiting areas, offices, and hallways.
- Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, and polish floors and surfaces.
- Empty trash and dispose of waste according to hospital procedures.
- Clean and disinfect furniture, fixtures, glass, and other touchpoint surfaces.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, sanitizer, and linens.
- Respond to cleaning requests, spills, and housekeeping concerns throughout the facility.
- Support overall cleanliness and infection-prevention efforts within the hospital.
- Thorough cleaning of patient rooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
- Knowledge of proper sanitation and disinfecting procedures.
- Ability to follow healthcare cleaning standards and safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail to maintain a clean, safe environment.
- Ability to work independently while staying productive throughout a shift.
- Professional interaction with patients, visitors, nurses, and hospital staff.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and complete assignments efficiently.
Skills & Qualifications
- No experience may be required for some openings; training is often provided.
- Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial experience is preferred.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
- Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.

Job Type & LocationThis is a contract position based out of Mount Pleasant, SC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
