Position: Night Custodian/ Floor Tech

Position

summary

This position is cumbent on employment on a Federal Installation in which the applicant must be able to pass a federal background investigation. Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, waxing, buffing, burnishing floors, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Duties may include performing routine custodial maintenance on machinery used in daily operations, notifying Servtech management of need for repairs.

Individual may also be cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk. Operating large cleaning equipment such as scrubbing machines and propane buffers.

Tasks
  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Strip and refinish floors. Operating scrub machines and propane buffers.
  • Gather and empty trash. Collect and remove cardboard and compact cardboard using baler. Making cardboard bales and storing them.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
  • Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
  • Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
  • Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
  • -------Proper mixing of cleaning chemicals in accordance with manufacturer instructions to alleviate waste and proper cleaning mixtures.
