Floor Technician

Job Summary

Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.

• Location:
  
  Mount Pleasant Independent School District – 2011 North Edwards Avenue, Mount Pleasant, TX 75455 (openings available at other district locations).
• Schedule:
  
  Full‑time;
  Sunday through Wednesday with variable hours (flexibility for part‑time as needed).
• Pay: $14.00 to $15.00 per hour.
• Requirement:
  Prior floor care experience is required.
• Background check required; consideration of all qualified applicants.
• Immediate hiring.

• Maintain knowledge of hard‑surface floor maintenance principles and apply proper procedures for stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Use automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Apply proper procedures for carpet and upholstery cleaning, including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Knowledge of and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently.
