Accounting Supervisor

Mt. Prospect, IL | Hybrid (3 Days In Office)

A global manufacturer is seeking an Accounting Supervisor for their growing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA or high-potential accounting professional seeking a path toward Accounting Manager and Controller-level leadership. The company operates within the industrial products sector, generates several billion dollars in annual revenue, and offers a culture wherein accounting professionals have significant exposure to operations, leadership, analysis, and strategic decision-making.

What You'll Do:
Responsibilities

• Own and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses
• Prepare internal financial statements and management reporting packages
• Analyze operating results, explain variances, and communicate findings to business leaders
• Partner closely with Operations, Finance, and Accounting leadership to drive decision-making
• Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and monthly outlooks
• Support internal controls, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Mentor and develop accounting team members while building leadership experience
• Participate in special projects, profitability analysis, and business performance initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA preferred
• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Manufacturing, CPG, industrial, distribution, or public accounting experience with manufacturing clients preferred
• Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and financial analysis
• Exposure to cost accounting or manufacturing accounting is helpful
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience working within ERP systems and business intelligence tools
• Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with operational leaders
• Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, project leadership, or supervisory experience

• Base salary: $100,000 - $115,000 + 5% target bonus
