Corporate Controller

Aegis is currently seeking a corporate controller to join our client's organization near Mount Prospect, IL.

** This position is an onsite role for the first 3-6 months with the opportunity to then work a hybrid work schedule. (Could come sooner - 2 days per week at home)

The ideal candidate has the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 10+ years of manufacturing accounting
• Prior job experience working as a corporate controller. (this is not the next step for a plant controller – as they already have one!) (Sweet spot for experience would be 15-20 years of experience)
• 7+ years of experience leading an accounting and finance team (2 direct reports – with 4 people reporting to those 2 managers)
• At least 5 years of experience using SAP (MUST be SAP.)
• 7+ years of experience managing accounting functions, AP, AR, Payroll and CAPEX.
• 5+ years of experience managing all aspects of corporate tax including – federal, state, and local income taxes and sales/use tax issues.
• Experience overseeing month end close process
• Budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Financial statement preparation and reporting
• Experience with external audits
• Cash management/treasury experience
• Internal controls (SOX or similar control environment)
• Green flags; personable/easy to work with, good with multitasking and organization.

Nice to have:

• CPA certification
• Commercial grade manufacturing experience.
• Experience working for a global manufacturer.
