Customer Support Specialist - Schaumburg, IL

NTN Bearing Corporation (NBCA) is seeking a Customer Support Specialist to serve as the main point of contact for customers. New hires will complete a training period in a "Solutions" role supporting the Industrial Aftermarket Sales and will manage customer issues after order receipt, including returns, payment disputes, credits, debits, and order discrepancies. Internal customer support will involve purchase order entry, resolving EDI errors, report management, and account administration.

• Provide quality service to customers
• Expedite and fill back‑orders and orders placed at lead time
• Respond to inventory inquiries and support inside sales
• Interchange product, process, and manage purchase orders
• Answer live chats on DOL (Distributor‑On‑Line)
• Answer calls in the IAM CR queue
• Submit credit/debit requests and return bearing authorizations (RBA’s)
• Investigate and close payment disputes (PD’s)
• Submit and close WHD’s (warehouse discrepancies)

• Bachelor's Degree in business (1–5 years of related experience) or 5–8 years of related experience or an equivalent combination
• Proficiency in engaging and diffusing dissatisfied customers
• Professional representation of the customer when interacting with other departments
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comprehensive product knowledge and resource familiarity
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Effective organizational and time‑management skills with multitasking ability
• Previous experience with ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards
• Intermediate Excel and Word skills

Pay range: $22.00 – $26.45 per hour, based on qualifications and business needs.
