We are hiring an experienced GPS Technician to capture As‑Built records and GPS data in the field and communicate with the GIS Analyst to provide deliverables to client.
Main Responsibilities- Complete daily note taking based on construction progress.
- Capture GPS measurements and additional data in field daily with high‑grade equipment and devices.
- Obtain measurements for main/fittings (location, depth, manufacturer, size, type, other info) and services (tap location, offsets) being installed.
- Coordinate data and notes with GIS Analyst so As‑Builts and GPS data can be delivered to client.
- Deliver said documents to client when necessary.
- If necessary, complete other field tasks such as measuring restoration, site conditions and other data entry.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- High level of customer service.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Previous construction experience.
- Previous utility locating experience.
- Familiarity with wheel measuring and construction drawings.
