Girls Wrestling Head Coach (2026‑2027 School Year)
Prospect High School is seeking a dynamic and committed leader to serve as the Head Coach for our Girls Wrestling program. This position is available immediately for the 2026‑2027 school year.
We are looking for a coach who will build and sustain a competitive program grounded in clear expectations, strong culture, and intentional growth. The successful candidate will bring a vision for developing not only skilled wrestlers, but confident, accountable young leaders.
An Exceptional Candidate Will Demonstrate The Ability To- Develop and articulate a clear mission and vision for long‑term program success, including a defined plan for program growth and sustainability.
- Establish and maintain a culture of high expectations, accountability, and competitive excellence.
- Create and implement a strategic plan to increase participation and build the Girls Wrestling program at all levels.
- Foster a positive, disciplined, and engaging team environment that supports both individual and team success.
- Build strong, consistent communication with the athletic department regarding practice planning, competitions, and program needs.
- Promote multi‑sport participation and support the overall student‑athlete experience.
- Develop and communicate clear program philosophies that are consistently executed and transparent to athletes and families.
- Establish strong relationships with parents, the school community, and administration through proactive and effective communication.
- Provide leadership development opportunities for student‑athletes, emphasizing growth on and off the mat.
- Demonstrate the ability to teach and develop athletes' skills, knowledge, and competitive mindset in all phases of wrestling.
- Collaborate with the Athletic Director in planning and managing the program budget.
