Sales Engineer

Manage technical sales and manufacturing projects from customer needs assessment through supplier selection, quotation, order acquisition, and delivery. The role combines technical sales, project management, supplier sourcing, and manufacturing knowledge and requires the ability to interpret engineering drawings and translate customer requirements into practical solutions.

• Generate leads and identify customer manufacturing needs through discussions, site observations, and interviews.
• Define project scope, prepare RFQs, identify/qualify suppliers, and coordinate proposal development.
• Represent customer requirements during supplier design and development.
• Present proposals, secure orders, and coordinate project execution, delivery, and installation.
• Manage contract manufacturing RFQs using customer 2D drawings, 3D models, or physical samples.
• Select suppliers based on required manufacturing processes and capabilities.
• Verify 3D CAD models against source drawings when models are created for CAM/manufacturing.
• Coordinate CNC-manufactured components and post-processing such as plating and engraving.
• Handle ad hoc sourcing requests for manufacturing equipment, tooling, testing equipment, and related products.
• Develop quotations and manage sales, supplier communication, and delivery.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with a broad range of manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of CNC metal cutting and common post-processing methods.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Strong written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to research, evaluate, and identify appropriate suppliers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

• 3D CAD modeling experience.
• East Asian language ability for communication with international suppliers.

This position works directly with customers and manufacturing partners and may involve varying levels of project coordination during equipment delivery and installation.
