What You’ll Be Doing You Will Be Responsible For Monthly Close & Reporting- Prepare and post standard and complex monthly journal entries.
- Perform assigned balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline and validate system data against M2K.
- Load trial balances into HFM and maintain accurate mapping for new or unmapped GL accounts.
- Support monthly financial statement preparation and variance analysis.
- Compile and validate AP, AR, and inventory data required for early close reporting.
- Support the annual budget, monthly forecasts, and multiyear planning processes.
- Perform weekly financial projection analysis, including impacts on P&L, cash flow, and the balance sheet.
- Conduct cost analysis, scenario modeling, and provide operational insights to leadership.
- Prepare and maintain SWF (Salaries, Wages & Fringe) forecasting models in partnership with Operations.
- Prepare quarterly E&O analysis and lead review discussions with Operations for the US and Canada.
- Calculate quarterly IPPM (Intercompany Profit in Inventory) adjustments.
- Support inventory-related financial analysis and cost variance reviews.
- Review and prepare international journal entries.
- Support intercompany reconciliations, mapping, and HFM reporting.
- Review and validate accounting entries from international locations; coordinate with global teams.
- Review and authorize payment requests for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Run AP/AR statistics and execute allocation processes in M2K.
- Assist internal users with questions related to financial processes or tools.
- Respond to internal and external audit requests, including documentation and walkthroughs.
- Perform annual Test Currency audits and post required adjustments.
- Execute unclaimed property reporting requirements.
- Provide direction and support to team members responsible for accounting deliverables.
- Review and validate work produced by other finance staff before submission.
- Identify, recommend, and support process improvements aligned with Crane Business System initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required.
- 5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and corporate accounting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas).
- Experience with ERP systems (M2K preferred).
- Experience with HFM, Blackline, or comparable tools strongly preferred.
- Highly analytical and detail‑oriented.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions.
