Job DescriptionThis role focuses on coordinating HR processes, maintaining accurate records, supporting recruitment and onboarding efforts, assisting with benefits administration, and helping foster a positive and compliant workplace environment.
The HR Coordinator works closely with the HR Manager and leadership team to ensure HR programs and initiatives are implemented effectively and consistently.
Responsibilities- Support onboarding and offboarding processes for employees and volunteers, including preparing offer letters, collecting required documentation, and coordinating orientation schedules.
- Conduct new hire orientation sessions and ensure completion of all onboarding paperwork and system entries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee personnel files, including certifications, licenses, and compliance documentation.
- Provide first-level HR support to employees and managers regarding policies, procedures, and general employment questions; escalate complex matters to HR leadership.
- Support recruitment efforts by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and assisting with candidate communications.
- Help maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook materials.
- Track employee training requirements and coordinate learning and development initiatives.
- Assist with employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and workplace culture initiatives.
- Prepare HR reports and maintain data in HRIS systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support compliance efforts related to federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- 2+ years of HR experience preferred
- Bachelors degree required or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS
