IT Technician

Position Overview

Sumitomo Electric U.S.A. Holdings, Inc. (SEUHO) is seeking a full-time IT Technician located in Mt. Prospect, IL. The IT Technician will provide support on IT-related tasks and is part of the SEUHO-IS helpdesk. The role reports to the IT Supervisor.

• Assist in resolving hardware and software issues for end users.
• Work on IT projects as directed by management.
• Assist in technical upgrading and maintaining desktop systems.
• Assist management in creating training materials for computer troubleshooting and usage.
• Install hardware (computers, monitors, servers, UPS, routers, switches, etc.).
• Manage all equipment and perform periodic inventories as required.
• Troubleshoot mobile devices and configure new devices.
• Install and configure computer systems, phones, and applications within the company.

• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
• Effective presentation skills and ability to respond to questions from users and business partners.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills to independently prioritize and coordinate competing projects within set time frames.
• Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.

The base salary range for this position is $20.00 to $22.00 hourly. Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, and location. This role may also be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses or incentives.
