• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) with strong expressive and receptive skills
• Current certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (holding a state or national credential)
• Prior experience in educational environments is highly preferred
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families
• Sensitivity, professionalism, and adaptability in dynamic school situations

• Provide clear, accurate interpretation between spoken English and ASL for students, staff, and community members during school activities, classroom instruction, meetings, and related events
• Facilitate effective communication to ensure students access to curriculum and participation in all areas of school life
• Consult and work closely with classroom teachers and special education teams to support student learning and engagement
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and ethical standards in all interpreting assignments
