The company seeks an experienced, highly organized technical manager to lead a production team building custom machine tools. Responsibilities include developing technical solutions during the build process, directing machine shop activities for component fabrication, creating production schedules, supervising production processes, ensuring materials are staged, and selecting and purchasing as-required materials. Technical skills required include interpreting and redlining engineering drawings, developing engineering sketches for mechanical components and changes, reviewing and managing bills of material, and directing a technical assembly workforce.
The manager will interface with engineering and procurement to support production of new products and ensure equipment is built to specifications. Hands‑on experience with machine‑tool production for grinding, lapping, honing, and/or wire‑saw cutting is preferred.
As a manager, the role also involves managing workers’ assignments, time recording, staffing, and ensuring health and safety protocols are adhered to. Successful candidates must multitask and oversee multiple operations simultaneously with excellent time‑management and interpersonal skills.

- Ensuring that health and safety protocols are adhered to
- Industry‑related experience
- Technical or business degree advantageous
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills
- Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
